Here's the complete score for an indie horror film called The Lights. It has the archetypal meddling kids, the earnest yet hapless sheriff and of course the rampant, hammer-wielding madman. It was conceived, cast, filmed and produced south of Austin Texas. I was inspired by some of my favorite horror soundtracks (The Tenant, Wolf Creek, Texas Chainsaw Massacre) and also brought my own mojo to the chopping block.The instrumentation includes violin, viola, electric guitar, bowed cymbals, big drums, unsettling drones plus bangs and scrapes from a string sound board which was lovingly gutted from an abandoned piano on the street. Enjoy the ride.
